About Me
Doña Junta started going to Slanguage studio back in 2001 as a young graffiti artist seeking as a space to be creative. During that period she and other teens like her would utilize the space to create art and help organize their own art exhibitions. After a long hiatus she returned to the studio in 2009 taking on a different role of studio assistant working behind the scenes interviewing other artists and helping with projects in-studio and various other institutions. Quote: “I am a street artist an old soul. I roam the streets of Los Angeles and beyond capturing the past. I love the grime and grit of what people might consider trash. There is beauty in everything I see. I just share that with the world.”
